Bestäm följande gränsvärden:
$\lim_{x\to\infty}x(\ln(x+1)-\ln x)$,
$\lim_{x\to0}\frac{\cos 2x-1+2x^2}{\ln(1+x^2)-\sin(x^2)}$.
a) Vi skriver om uttrycket som
$$\begin{aligned}\lim_{x\to\infty}x\bigl(\ln(x+1)-\ln x\bigr)&=\lim_{x\to\infty}x\ln\left(1+\frac1x\right)\\&=\lim_{x\to\infty}\ln\left(1+\frac1x\right)^x=\ln e=1.\end{aligned}$$
b) Maclaurinutvecklingarna ger
$$\cos t=1-\frac12t^2+\frac1{24}t^4+\mathcal{O}(t^6)$$
och
$$\ln(1+t)=t-\frac12t^2+\mathcal{O}(t^3),\qquad \sin t=t+\mathcal{O}(t^3).$$
Därför är
$$\cos(2x)-1+2x^2=\frac23x^4+\mathcal{O}(x^6)$$
och
$$\ln(1+x^2)-\sin(x^2)=-\frac12x^4+\mathcal{O}(x^6).$$
Alltså blir gränsvärdet
$$\lim_{x\to0}\frac{\cos(2x)-1+2x^2}{\ln(1+x^2)-\sin(x^2)}=-\frac43.$$
